Laurinda Van Coney

Cannelton, Indiana - Laurinda G. Van Coney, 74, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the home of her daughter in Tell City. She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on April 16, 1949, daughter of Samuel E. and Martha Geraldine (Benningfield) Conner. Laurinda had worked at Tell City Chair Company and as a caregiver for the elderly. She enjoyed visits from her family and taking drives in the country. Laurinda had a pleasant personality; always offering to lend a helping hand. Surviving are her children, David Conner (Kelly), Cannelton, Michael Van Coney, Tell City and Ashley Van Coney Kendall (Eldon); grandchildren, Cayson Conner, Brogan Van Coney, Chloe and Gavin Goffinet, Ashton Snyder and Jeffrey Kendall and a sister, Rose Conner. Laurinda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Miller Van Coney. Laurinda's services will be private with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, is assisting the family with her arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to River City Animal Shelter in Cannelton.
