Tell City, Indiana Larry E. Taylor, 57, passed away July 8, 2014 at his home. He was born in Perry County, October 9, 1956, son of the late Wilbur E. Taylor and Velma (Ford) Taylor who survives. Also preceding him in death besides his father was an infant brother, Wilbur Louis Taylor and a granddaughter, Iyera Taylor A 1975 graduate of Tell City High School, Larry retired as an inspector for INDOT. He retired in 2000. Larry was united in marriage to Cathy Durbin, May 20, 2000, at the Gospel Tabernacle Church. He enjoyed his friends, fishing, hunting, tinkering, sitting by the fire, his dogs, playing Santa Claus, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry was an honorary member of SIBB, Southern Indiana Biker Buds. Larry is survived by his wife of 14 years, Cathy Taylor; sons, Larry L. "Louis" Taylor (Von Manning), Clarksville and Allen E. Taylor (Shianne), Tell City; daughter, Tiffany Risse (Gary), Cannelton; mother, Velma Taylor, Tell City; brothers, Rick Taylor (Juanita), Newtonville and Barry Taylor (Karen Oost), Derby; sister, Angela Claise (Harry), Cannelton; brother-in-law, Robert Durbin (Jerrie), Cannelton; grandchildren, Autumn and Briahna Taylor, Gary, Felicia, and Karrie Risse and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be11:00 AM Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Lilly Dale Cemetery. Bro. Tim Dotson will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM Friday and from 9:00 AM until service time Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
