Troy, Indiana Larry Joe Sandage, 66, passed away on April 7, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. He was born in Tell City on March 9, 1956 to Ernest John and Legatha Ruth (Bryant) Sandage. Larry was united in marriage on September 1, 1978 to Flora "Loulene" Applegate, who survives. He was retired after 22 years from the Navy and Indiana National Guard and was a self-employed mechanic. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and the Indiana National Guard. Larry was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping and swimming. He loved to spend time with his family and tell ghost stories to his grandchildren. Surviving is his wife, Loulene Sandage, Troy; children, Dewayne Applegate (Lilian), Maud, TX, Eugene Applegate (Carrie), Cannelton, Richard Sandage (Rachel Smith), Tell City and Gina Murphy (Anna), Rockport; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, David Sandage, Tell City, Sharon Duke (Dale), Petersburg, Kathy Robbins (Ray), Santa Claus, Steve Sandage (Diana), Cannelton, Mike Sandage, Gainesville, GA and Roger Sandage (Anna), Cannelton. Preceding him in death were his parents; children, Michael and Roselin Sandage, both in infancy and L.J. Sandage; siblings, Ernie, Ronnie, Marvin and Billy Sandage and Margie Wethington. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM CDT on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
