Larry Hauser

Tell City, Indiana - Larry E. Hauser, 75, passed away on May 12, 2023, at Owensboro (KY) Health Regional Hospital. He was born on September 22, 1947 in Tell City, Indiana to Edward M. and Ruth M. (Huck) Hauser. He was 1965 graduate of Tell City High School and was a U. S. Army veteran, having served his country in Qui Nhon, Vietnam from May, 1967 through May, 1968 and at Fort Meade from June, 1968 through September, 1968. On November 30, 1968, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Larry was united in marriage to Mary Lynn Turner. They were line dance instructors for over 20 years and enjoyed traveling, visiting all of the lower 48 states several times. Larry enjoyed being outdoors, especially gardening, yard work and camping. He always looked forward to the holidays because he loved to decorate their home for Christmas. Larry was a member of the American Legion Post #213. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Janet Kitchen. Survivors include, his high school sweetheart and wife of 54 years, Mary Lynn Hauser, Tell City; siblings, Ronnie (Carole) Hauser, Ruskin, FL, Janice Weaver, Seminole, FL, Patrick Hauser, Bloomington and Danny J. Hauser, Cannelton and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM CDT on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Rev. Steve Donahue will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery where there will be military rites. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00-5:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 AM until service time.
