Tell City, Indiana - Kenny Sosh, 69, passed away on December 27, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Hardinsburg, Kentucky on December 13, 1953. A 1972 graduate of Breckinridge County High School, where his friends called him "Bird", Kenny married JoAnn Lain on September 30, 1978, at First United Methodist Church in Cannelton. He received an associate degree from Kentucky School of Mortuary Science and was a licensed funeral director and embalmer for many years. He had been an EMT several years ago in Breckinridge County, Kentucky. Kenny had also worked at Tell City Chair Company and retired from Meggitt where he was a chemical specialist. Kenny liked U.K. basketball, Colts football and listening to Beatles music. Those who knew Kenny well, knew how much he liked to joke with his friends and family. During his illness, Kenny never complained and always kept his pleasant personality and sense of humor. He always looked forward to visits from his grandchildren. Surviving is his wife of 44 years, JoAnn Sosh; sons, Nathan Sosh (Emilee) and Jaron Sosh (Jessie); grandchildren, Taylor and Annalee Sosh and Westley and Landon Sosh; siblings, Homer "Junior" Sosh, Jr., Mary Hill and Melinda Limer all of Hardinsburg, KY and Cindy Pizarro (Bob), Chatanooga, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Sosh, Sr. and Evelyn (Carwile) Jackson; sister, Peggy Pate, brother, Lonnie Sosh and granddaughter, Elaina Sosh. There will be visitation from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in New Cliff Cemetery in Cannelton. Huber Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Sosh.
