Tell City, Indiana –
Kenny Barker, 59, passed away, unexpectedly, on March 16, 2024.
He was born in Franklin, Indiana, on August 28, 1964. A 1982 graduate of Perry Central High School, Kenny married Annette Schraner on October 11, 2001 in Tellico Plains, Tennessee. He enjoyed fishing, racing, traveling, motorcycles and helping with TNT bass fishing tournaments. Kenny will always be remembered as a family man with a good work ethic, rarely complaining and always thankful for what life had given him. He loved to work and was employed as a multi-craft electrician at Commonwealth in Hawesville, Kentucky, more recently known as Aleris. Kenny had also carried his work cooler, he named Oscar, into Waupaca and General Electric.
Kenny and Annette offered a loving and welcoming home to many, especially to their children, Brandon Barker (Laura), Clint Wheatley (Melissa), Samantha Barker, Kaleb Barker, Lisa Ramos (Noel), Kenneth Wheatley, Nathaniel Barker, Kristal Barker, Drew Barker, Kiria Barker, Angelina Calvo (Oliver), Logan Wheatley, Lucas Wheatley, Ryan Barker (Megan), Megan Barker, Cassandra Barker, Sierra Barker and Bryson Vandevender. They often, fondly, referred to him as “Kenny Barker”, as to not confuse him with their brother.
Also surviving are his mother, Connie Craig; brothers, Tony Barker (Kim), Jerry Craig (Missy); sister, Joyce Brandle (Donnie) and 22 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were Earl Barker, Charles Craig and a brother, David Barker.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM CDT on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until service time.
Memorial contributions may be given to Perry Central Athletics.
