Kenneth Ubelhor

Kenneth W. "Ken" Ubelhor, 78, passed away on December 28, 2020. He was born on July 23, 1942 near Apalona, son of James Maurice and Gladys Catherine (Flamion) Ubelhor. An Oil Township graduate, Ken married Maria Margaretta Pytel on November 21, 1964 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh. He worked for several years at Jasper Engines, retiring as a welder fabricator. Ken was a member of Indiana National Guard, retiring after 20 years of service. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, was a gifted handyman and enjoyed being outside, especially spending time with his dogs, Nikki, Winnie and Cody. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Maria Ubelhor; children, Tammy Fisk (D.J.), Carriere, Mississippi, Wayne Ubelhor (Denise), St. Croix and Debbie Ubelhor, Ferdinand; siblings, Marvin Ubelhor (Lucy), Tell City, Gene Ubelhor (Vickie), St. Croix, Anita Davis (P.J.), St. Croix and Steve Ubelhor (Mich), Pleasant Valley, Utah and grandchildren, David Fisk, Robyn Fisk and Andy Fisk, Nicholas Ubelhor (Chelsea Brown), Kyle Leibering and Amber Ubelhor. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Michael, in infancy; a sister, Mary Ellen at age 13 and a son, Jon Ubelhor in 1989. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM, at St. Isidore Catholic Church with burial in St. Isidore Cemetery, where there will be military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post #213. Rev. Luke Waugh will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 on Friday and from 8:00 until 9:15 AM on Saturday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project or St. Isidore Catholic Church.
