Kayla Rounds

Gatchel, Indiana Kayla Deann Rounds, 15, passed away August 20, 2018 at her home. She was born in Tell City, Indiana on February 20, 2003. A sophomore at Perry Central Jr.-Sr. High School, Kayla was a member of First Baptist Church in Tell City and was an active member in the youth group. Known for her big heart, Kayla had a love for animals, especially her cat, Toby. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, drawing and singing. Surviving are her parents, Michael and Julie (Wertman) Rounds; siblings, Johnathan, Lena, Justin, Isaiah, Ashley, Bryan, Tiffany, Chase and Grace; grandparents, Bonnie Peters, Donna and Allen Allgood. Preceding her in death are her grandparents, Judy Toby, Walter Wertman and James Rounds. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Dan Hopkins will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00-8:00 PM and Thursday 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Garrison Cemetery, Tennyson on Thursday at 2:00 PM CST. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the family or to the Perry County Animal Shelter.
