Kay Seibert

Tell City, Indiana Willa "Kay" Seibert, 71, passed away September 14, 2014, at Charlier Hospice in Evansville. She was born in Tell City on November 29, 1942. Her parents were the late Oscar R. and Eva Lee (Dickman) Poehlein. Also preceding her in death were her husband, Bert Seibert, in 2012; sister-in-law, Sharon Poehlein and a nephew, Tim Poehlein. Kay was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ and had bowled for the Tell City Women's Bowling Association for many years. She also pitched horseshoes in many leagues, enjoyed quilting and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She treasured friendships and memories made with the Tell City Class of 1961. Kay retired from the Perry-Spencer Bookmobile in 2008 where she spent nearly 30 years of service. Kay will always be remembered for her lightheartedness and grace during her battle with cancer. Surviving are her children, Craig Pannett (Victoria), Farmington, Missouri, J. Todd Pannett (Dana), Chesterfield, Missouri, Niki Pannett Fryou (Mark), Morgan City, Louisiana and Brandi Paulin Sanders (Greg), Tell City; step daughters, Louanne Payne (Lynn), Owensboro and Mary Justice (David), Utica, Kentucky; sister, Rose Mary Leitner (Dennis), Tell City; brothers, Gary Poehlein, Alexandria, Virginia and Ray Poehlein (Wilma), Hammondsport, New York; grandchildren, Jordan and Alexandria Pannett, Molly and Sam Pannett, Brady and Rhett Fryou, Grant and Luke Sanders, Emily Kleaving (Brad), Eric Gelarden and Merek Justice; great grandchildren, Ella and Noah Kleaving and Lanah Gelarden and her mother-in-law, Alice Pannett of Tell City. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Evangelical United Church of Christ or Deaconess Charlier Hospice.
