Kathy Anderson

Tell City, Indiana Kathy L. Anderson, 58, passed away May 2, 2018 at her home. Born in Tell City, Indiana on June 14, 1959, she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies in 1998 from the University of Evansville. She retired from Res-Care as the residential director for over 20 years, later working with Child Protective Services in Perry County. She was a member of Compassionate Friends, a group that supported one another after losing a child. Her enjoyments included her dog, Storm Anderson, going to the casino, shopping, especially at Kohl's, and then sharing her bargains with others. Surviving is her mother, Louise Baur, Tell City; brothers, Bob Baur (Debbie), Muncie, Indiana and Tim Baur (Libby), Tell City; two grandchildren, Bryce Ridener and Bailee Jo Johnson; nieces and nephews of "K.K.", Jeremy Baur, Chris Baur (Anita), Kelly Hamilton (Chad), Corey Hernly (Miranda), Courtney Hernly, Casey Hernly and Andi Staats (Kyle); great nieces and nephews, Tyler Baur, Conner Baur, Alex Hamilton, Milo Hamilton, Madelynn Baur, Elliot Baur, Nolan Hernly, Raegan Hernly; Godchildren, Kayleigh Chain and Andi Staats; and "Her People", best friend, Helen Kast (Kraig), Libo Baur, Bobbi Jo Ridener (Pooh), Caroline Johnson (Scott), Junior Staats, Kourtney Hentgen, Whitney Hulsman and many wonderful neighbors. Preceding her in death was her daughter, Tracy Anderson and her father, Robert "Tail" Baur. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM CST Monday, May 7, 2018 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Brother Eddie Olberding will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-6:00 PM and Monday 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bailee Jo Johnson Education Fund.
