Kathryn James

Tell City, Indiana Kathryn James, 91, passed away May 9, 2018 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Hancock County, Kentucky on January 28, 1927 to the late Benjamin and Lucille (Bryant) Haney. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Edward James; sisters, Margaret Capauno, Faye Howard and Pauline Goffinet; brothers, Carl, Bob, Waitman, Leroy and William Haney. Kathryn retired from General Electric in 1987 after 39 years. She was a member o St. Augustine Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter and great granddaughter. Surviving are her children, Phyllis Hagedorn (Don), Evansville, Brenda James and Gerald James, both of Tell City; granddaughter, Leslie Miles (John) and great-granddaughter, Hannah Miles; sister Jeanie Estes, Lewisport, Kentucky; brother, Lester Haney, Owensboro, Kentucky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CST Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold. Rev. Brian Esarey will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00-7:00 PM and Tuesday 8:30-9:15AM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Catholic Church.
