Kathie Christmas

Tell City, Indiana - Katherine A. Christmas, 69, took her final breath on this earth and was united with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 1, 2022 at Greenbriar Assisted Living in Indianapolis. She was born on August 29, 1952, in Yankeetown, to John and Lorene (Russell) Fulkerson. Kathie was united in marriage on October 11, 1969 to Gregory Christmas, who preceded her in death in 2010. In 2018, she retired from SIRS where she had been a caregiver. Throughout her life, Kathie was alongside her husband while pastoring Emmanuel's Temple Church in Rockport. She sang in the gospel singing group "Deliverance", worked in children and youth ministry at Agape Church, Duke's Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Hilldale Methodist Church. Kathie held Turning Point Bible Studies, Women's Bible Studies and other prayer groups in her home. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafting and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving her are her children, Julie (Kris) Woodward of Indianapolis, Pamela (Steve) Young of Lone Rock, WI and Joshua Christmas of Tell City; grandchildren, Alexandria, Noah, Lukas and Samuel (Kelsey) Woodward, Joanna (Marcus) Christmas-Thomas, and River and London Young; sisters, Connie Thomas of Tell City and Diana Williams of Buffaloville and brothers, Rodney Fulkerson of Lamar and Herbert Fulkerson of Owensboro, KY. Preceding her in death, besides her parents and her husband, were her sisters, Faye DeHart, Leona DeHart and Debbie Kline; brothers, Johnny Fulkerson and Donald DeHart; sister-in-law, Marcia Christmas and mother and father-in-law, Mary and Marion Christmas. Funeral Services will be held at 11am CST on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Roger Jarboe will officiate. Burial will follow at Little Pigeon Cemetery in Spencer County. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
