Katherine Bauer

Tell City, Indiana Katherine L. Bauer, 68, passed away at 9:45 PM Monday, May 22, 2006 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana. Katherine was born December 7, 1937 in Hawesville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Edward B. Keown and Dessa T. (Allen) Keown who survives. Katherine attended Tell City High School. A former employee of General Electric in Tell City, she had worked as a waitress for various owners of a restaurant in Cannelton now known as Rumors, from which she retired in 2005. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by: One daughter: Pam Wilbur, Tell City, Indiana One son: Jeffery Young, Indianapolis, Indiana Her mother: Dessa (Allen) Keown, Tell City, Indiana One sister: Margaret Phillips, Clinton, Iowa One brother: John Keown, New Port Richey, Florida Four grandchildren: Shawna & Jason Phillips, and Derrick & Nicholas Young Two great grandchildren: Olivia Phillips and Aaliyah Young Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, May 26, 2006 at Huber Funeral Home-Tell City Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery at Tell City, Indiana. Pastor Harry McDonald will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday and from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at Huber Funeral Home-Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association or American Cancer Society.
