June Benjamin

Cannelton, Indiana June F. Benjamin, 67, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Owensboro Health in Owensboro, Kentucky. She was born May 1, 1946 in Rossville, Illinois. Her parents were the late Sterling Hardwick and Barbara (Brown) Hardwick, who survives. Also preceding her in death are a son, Jason Benjamin and grandson, Nathanial Benjamin. A homemaker, she had worked at General Electric, formerly in Danville and Teepak also located in Danville, Illinois. June enjoyed painting and drawing, art and going to flea markets. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Micheal Benjamin, Cannelton, Indiana; mother, Barbara Hardwick, Rossville, Illinois; daughter, Rosie Benjamin, Portland, Oregon; sons, Samson Benjamin, Cannelton, Indiana and Joseph Benjamin (Joann), Tell City, Indiana; step-son, Shawn Benjamin (Marcella), Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Kenneth Hardwick, Potomac, Illinois; grandchildren, Austin and Noah Benjamin and Ashton and Aiden Benjamin. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, July 5, 2013 at Pape Mortuary in Danville, Illinois, with burial in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Danville. There will be visitation from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City, Chapel, and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM Friday at Pape Mortuary in Danville, Illinois.
