Cannelton, Indiana Julia B. Storm, 106, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Golden Living Center Lincoln Hills in Tell City, Indiana. Julia was born in Hancock County, Kentucky on March 24, 1905, daughter of the late Amor Swihart and Cornelia ""Neat"" (Gist) Swihart. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Virgil D. Storm in 1961, a daughter, Iva Jean Bolin, brothers, William and Alton Swihart, sisters, Youthel, Nora and Jennie Rice, Cecil Newton and Vanda Young. Julia was a faithful member of First Baptist Church for eighty-one years. She had been employed at Owensboro Tobacco Factory, Lehman Company of America, the Cannelton Cotton Mill, then retired from Tell City Chair Company after eighteen years of employment. After retirement, she worked for many years at Dixon and Dixon Auction Service. Julia enjoyed embroidery, flower gardening and yard work. Julia is survived by a daughter, Lucille Kreisle, Naples, FL and a son, William D. Storm, Goshen, IN, six grandchildren, including Priscilla Phillips who cared for her. She also has several great, great great and great great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM CDT Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with Rev. Jason Johns officiating. Burial is in Mount Eden Cemetery, Hawesville, Kentucky . Visitation is from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday and 9:00AM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
