Joseph Payne

Tell City, Indiana Joe Payne, 70, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Golden Living Center Lincoln Hills. He was born June 17, 1942 in Cannelton, son of the late Joseph H. Payne and Mary (Millay) Payne who survives. Joe was also preceded in death by his brother John W. Payne. He was a US Air Force veteran and retired from the Indiana National Guard. Joe worked for Bob Rutherford Masonry, retiring in 2007. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and American Legion Post #142. Joe enjoyed fishing and playing cards. Joe is survived by his mother, Mary Payne, Tell City, sisters, Patricia Tooley, Monrovia, Indiana and Frances Gibson, Henderson, Kentucky and a brother Tom Payne, Tell City. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Duvelius will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00 until 7:00 PM Saturday and noon until service time on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church of St. Michael Cemetery.
