Joseph Lane

Cannelton, Indiana - Joseph D. "Joe" Lane, 50, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at his home. He was born in Tell City on August 6, 1962. His parents were the late Marvin and Wanda (Layman) Lane. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Mary Jane Lane and a brother, Samuel Lane. Joe married Opal Cronin on March 18, 1982 in Beatrice, Nebraska. He had worked at U.B. Klem in Schnellville and enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, being outdoors and spending time with his grandbabies. Surviving him are his wife Opal; daughter Anna Hammack (Andrew), Huntingburg; son, Jason Lane (Mary Beth), Cannelton; grandchildren, Taryn Lane and Scotti Hammack; sisters, Debbie Cronin, Cannelton, Kathy Duke, Tell City; brothers, Tom Lane, Bucky Lane, Stephen Lane and Ray Lane, of Tell City, Mark Lane, Jasper and Richard Lane, Santa Claus. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in Troy Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday.
