Johnie Harding

Leopold, Indiana Johnie Harding, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills. He was born April 9, 1931 in Derby, son of the late Monroe and Cathern (Kellems) Harding. Also preceding him in death was triplet brothers, Andrew Joseph and Ernest Eugene Harding, brothers, Porter and Roscoe Harding and a sister Mary Cathern Harding. He was united in marriage September 8, 1958 to Gladys Badger who survives. Johnie was a machinist at William Tell Woodcrafters and a member of Branchville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and his John Deere tractors. Johnie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gladys Harding; daughters, Becky Harding, Magnet and Betty Sue Rennie, Gatchel; sister, Mary Olive Cash, Mt. Pleasant; brothers, Jessie A. Harding, Elizabeth, Indiana and Glenward Harding, Magnet; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Badger Cemetery near Derby. Rev. Bill Reid will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday and from 10:00 AM until service time on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Branchville United Methodist Church.
