Johney Lawson

Hawesville, Kentucky Johney Lawson, 72, passed away Saturday March 30, 2013 at his home. He was born March 27, 1941 in Hancock County, son of the late Sheril and Pauline (Frashure) Lawson. Also preceding him in death was a brother Sheril Lawson, Jr. He had worked at California Pacific Industries, formerly Swain Industries. A member of Berean Baptist Church, Johney enjoyed country music, NASCAR, and being with his grandchildren. He loved UK wildcats. He is survived by his wife Anona (Terry) Lawson; daughters, Terri Lawson, Hawesville and Rachel Schneider, Cannelton, IN; sons, Johney Lawson, Jr., Tell City, IN, David Lawson, Evansville, IN, Christian Lawson, Hawesville and Phillip Lawson, Hawesville; sisters, Kay Pierce, Petersburg, IN and Patricia Jackson, Hawesville; brother, Rodger Lawson, Bonita Springs, FL; 6 grandchildren, Samarah Schneider, Heaven and Kayden Lawson, Wesley and Bryan Claise and Rene' Cronin and great grandchildren, Aza Patterson, Nolan Rapier and Layla and Brandon Claise . Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City with burial in Lilly Dale Cemetery in Gatchel, IN. Pastor Harry McDonald will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
