Joseph A. Bailey, 56, passed away on February 20, 2024 at U of L Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.


He was born on June 20, 1967 in Lima, Ohio and was a United States Army veteran, where he served during Desert Storm.


Joe retired from AT&T where he was a field technician. He was united in marriage on August 7, 1999 to Kimberly A. Harper.


Known as a ‘jack of all trades”, Joe loved to trade and tinker. He was musically gifted as he could play any instrument he picked up and he loved to watch his kids play sports.


Surviving is his wife of 25 years, Kim Bailey, Tell City; children, Roseanna Richards, Flat Rock, MI, Tyler Bailey (Breanna Swanagan), North Pole, AK and Niccole Bailey, Tell City; siblings, David Bailey (Trina Dunson), Lima, OH, Angela Bailey (Mike Simon), Forest, OH, Wanda Underhill (Jay Henninger), Loogootee and Shawn Bailey (Christina), Tell City and six grandchildren. Joe is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.


Preceding him in death was his father, Grover C. Bailey and a brother, Clayton Bailey.


An Open House, to celebrate Joe’s life, will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 1:00 until 4:00 PM at the VFW. Huber Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
