Tell City, Indiana Jim "Himi" Hinton, Jr., 53, passed away March 3, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. He was born in Tell City, Indiana on May 10, 1964 to the late James E. Hinton, Sr. and Rosemary (Keown) Hinton, who survives. Himi was a 1982 graduate of Tell City High School. He was united in marriage on March 16, 1991 to the former Mari Rhodes. He worked at AK Steel and was an active member of the United Auto Workers Local 3044. Himi was a member of Loyal Order of Moose 1424 and Knights of Columbus 1172. An outdoorsman, Himi was an avid hunter and loved to fish. He enjoyed bowling, cooking, grilling and spending time with his family. He was a fan of U of L basketball, Indianapolis Colts and the St. Louis Cardinals. Surviving is his wife, Mari Hinton, Tell City; daughter, Jaimi Deel (Chris), Tell City; son Marcus Hinton, Vincennes; mother, Rosemary Hinton, Evansville; brother, Brian Hinton (Georgianna), Evansville; sister, Lisa Miller (Bill), Evansville; and a granddaughter, Braelynn Deel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Rev. Charles Carpenter will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. The K of C will have services at 6:00 PM with a Moose Lodge service to follow on Monday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Relay for Life.
