Jesse Reed, Sr.

Cannelton, Indiana Jesse B. Reed, Sr. 68, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014 at his home in Cannelton. Jesse was born in Perry County, May 6, 1946, son of the late Raymond Reed and Martha Masterson Reed. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie Hanks and Betty Cronin. Jesse was an employee of Schwab Safe Company for over forty-six years and had served in the United States Army. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed fishing and trading or repairing cars. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Jesse is survived by two sons, Jesse Reed, Jr. (Brandy), Huntingburg, Ray Reed (Amy), Tell City, daughters, Rita Singer (Gary), Tell City, Donna Reed, Tell City. He has fifteen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3:00-8:00PM Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City. There will be no funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
