Jerry Hoagland, P.A.

Tell City, Indiana Jerry D. Hoagland, P.A., 77, passed away August 21, 2017 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born December 17, 1939 in Greencastle, Indiana, son of the late Daniel and Arlene (Wright) Hoagland. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Donald Hoagland. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Jerry was united in marriage to Joyce Buntin, July 26, 1964 in Palestine, Illinois. He was the owner of Hoagland Accounting for many years and spent several years on the Tell City-Troy Township School Board. He was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church in Owensboro, Kentucky. Jerry and his wife enjoyed camping, but his pride and joy in life was watching his grandchildren participate in sports and rodeo. Jerry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Hoagland; son, Greg Hoagland, D.V.M. (Angela), Eckerty, Indiana; daughter, Ginger Peter (Mike) Tell City, Indiana; brothers, Robert Hoagland (Eloise), Robinson, Illinois and Larry Hoagland (Jennifer), Noblesville, Indiana; six grandchildren, Jessie and Josie Hoagland, Crystal Miller (Garrett), Cathryn, Caylyn, and Caleb Peter. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM CT Friday, August 25, 2017 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Deer Creek Baptist Cemetery. Bro. James Wedding will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Yellow Creek Baptist Church.
