Jeffrey Reed Walker, 53, was born on Easter Sunday, April 14, 1968 in New Albany, Indiana to Anna Mae (Lynch) Riddle and Jack Riddle. He passed away on December 10, 2021 in Chicago, Illinois of cardiac complications. Jeffrey was a graduate of Crawford County High School and received a degree in Journalism from the University of Evansville. He later attended Harlaxton College, outside of London, England, one semester in the study abroad program through the University of Evansville. He received a law degree from Indiana University and his MBA from the University of Chicago. He also completed the Second City Comedy Club writer's course. Jeffrey worked as a reporter for the Evansville Press and practiced law in Evansville. He worked in the Appellate Court Judge's Office in Indianapolis for several years before moving to Chicago, where he worked for several law firms as a Conflict Resolution Manager. Jeffrey was a man who was very loved by his family and friends. He was also a man of great intelligence with many talents. He was skilled at all tasks he attempted and had wide range knowledge in many fields. Alone, he performed all home improvement projects and was an excellent gourmet cook. Jeffrey was an avid reader with strong opinions that he freely shared. He had several artistic talents which include playing organ and piano, singing, writing poetry and painting. He loved traveling, especially to the Oregon coast, with his mother and aunts accompanying him on many amazing trips. Jeffrey was an excellent host to out of town guests. He planned the best of Chicago activities, ranging from restaurants, plays, concerts and tours of consignment shops, Goodwill and the Salvation Army for shopping some of the best bargains. Survivors include his mother, Anna Mae (Lynch) Riddle, English; brother, Chris Riddle, Houston, Texas; cousin and best friend, Marilyn Lynch, Henderson, KY; uncle, Allan Lynch, Evansville and aunts, Mary Lou McElfresh and Debbie James, Louisville, KY. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM CST on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, IN 47586. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Jeffrey's family would appreciate memorial contributions being made, in his memory, to Walker Cemetery in lieu of flowers being sent. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
