Jean Batdorf

Grandview, Indiana Jean Batdorf, 83, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2004 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. Jean was born December 12, 1920 in Covington, Kentucky to the late Hugh R. and Marion (Gierse) Stine. She was also preceded in death by her husband Fred G. Batdorf in 1994 and a brother Paul ""Gruber"" Stine. She worked for Master Electric in Dayton, Ohio and retired from Reliance Electric Company in Columbus, Indiana and later worked for Sears Customer Service in Sarasota, Florida. She was a member of Pines Shores Presbyterian Church in Sarasota, Florida and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, gardening and tending to her fruit trees. She is survived by a daughter Mary Raider of Grandview, Indiana and two grandchildren, Rebecca and John Raider. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 28, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. EST at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. EST and on Sunday from 12:00 P.M. EST until service time at Huber Funeral Home-Tell City Chapel. Rev. Lee Brown will officiate.
