Jasper Mcmahon

Cannelton, Indiana Jasper T. McMahon, 87, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013. He was born July 18, 1925, in Perry County, son of the late Townsend and America (Persinger) McMahan. Also preceding him in death was his wife Beverly McMahon, step-son, Daniel White, sisters, Mary Agnes Pavola, Nancy Perryman and Ruth Rittel, brothers, Bill, Raymond and Mike McMahan and Donnie King. A World War II U.S. Army veteran, Jasper retired from Tell Chair Company after 40 years. After his retirement, he had worked as a security guard and worked at Noble's IGA. Jasper enjoyed visiting with family and friends and relaxing by the river. He is survived by step daughters, Sharlene Crossley (David), Cannelton, Melody Miller (Timothy) Henderson, Michelle Trammell, Bristow, Tracy Pearson (Dwight), Mt. Vernon, Bobbie Oldham (Steve), Mt. Vernon and Lula Parker, Boonville; step-son, Clayton White, Tell City; 3 sisters, Lavina Harlen (Doug), Fort Smith, AK, Linda Curtner (Dan), Cannelton, and Carolyn Doogs, Tell City; 3 brothers, Richard "Coon" King, Cannelton, Bill King, Shelbyville and Jim McMahan (Donita), Cannelton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 24, 2013, at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, with burial in Deer Creek Cemetery near Tell City, where there will be military graveside rites. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Sunday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Plus.
