Janie Flamion

St. Croix, Indiana Janie J. Flamion, 82, passed away August 28, 2017 at Harrison Springs Health Campus in Corydon, Indiana. She will be forever 29. She was born in Patesville, Kentucky on September 21, 1934, to the late William and Allie Mae (Nix) Allen. Also preceding her in death is her husband, Ray Flamion; sisters, Frieda Lawrence, Sharon Kieser and Willie Judith "Judy" Zuelly; brothers, Terry, Ray, John "Eddie", Robert and Darrell Allen. Janie was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and served as the Oil Township Precinct Committee Woman. She enjoyed spending time with her family, collecting angels and glassware, playing euchre and baking and decorating cakes. Surviving are her children, Roger Flamion (Kay), Ricky Flamion (Denise) and Jeff Flamion (Lisa) all of St. Croix and Bruce Flamion (Sue) of Ferdinand; a sister, Virginia "Ginny" Hosler of Tell City; ten grandchildren, Anthony, Bradley, Amanda, Jessica, Mackenzie, Emily, Cody, Brent, Aaron and Cassandra; eight great-grandchildren, Adalyne, Camden, Claire, Blaize, Skylar, Bentli, Arianna and Atalie. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 31, 2017 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold, with burial in the church cemetery. Father Brian Esarey will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday, with a parish prayer service at 2:00PM and from 8:30 AM-9:30 AM Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Church Cemetery.
