Janet Wheeler

Tell City, Indiana Janet K. Wheeler, 81, passed away on March 8, 2023 in Evansville. She was born in Tell City on March 2, 1942. Janet retired from General Electric and had also worked at Tell City Chair Company and Skyline Industries. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Janet enjoyed reading, crocheting, game shows and her dog, Colton and cats, Tiger and Calico Sue. Survivors include her children, Jennifer Simpson("Taz"), Cannelton, Chris Wheeler (Nancy), Troy, Jerry Wheeler, Cannelton and Jeffrey Wheeler (Edna), Tell City; grandchildren, Brandi and Daniel Wheeler, Ryan Lawalin, Tabatha and Brittany Wheeler and Zoey Ball; great grandchildren, Madison and Jordan Wheeler and Arabella and Daxton Wheeler; and a brother, Steve Wills (Cindy), Orlando, FL. Preceding her in death were her parents, Everett Wills and Verona (Snider) Stephens; her husband, Charles W. Wheeler; and sister, Sharon Carson and Brenda Ferriolio. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM CST on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Rev. Kolbe Wolniakowski will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
