Janet Taylor

Tell City, Indiana Janet R. Taylor, 84, passed away November 21, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. She was born in Tell City, Indiana on June 8, 1933 to the late William and Muriel (Gaynor) Raley. Also preceding her in death is a sister, Kathy Raley Kellems, brothers, William and George Raley and beloved niece Ann Kramer Freeman. Janet was a graduate of Cannelton High School and retired from Tell City Chair Company. She loved to bowl, was an avid reader and following Tell City High School sports. Janet enjoyed spending time with her family and her dear friend, Barbara Blinzinger. Surviving are her children, Lisa Bryant (Rodney), Derby, Chris Taylor, Lynnville and Robert Scott Taylor (Millie), Weston, WV; grandchildren, Caitlin Taylor, Robert James Taylor and Eliza Taylor; great grandchildren, Natali and Isaac Taylor and Kylee and Layne Taylor; a sister, Methella "Billie" Kramer, Florence, KY; a brother, Raymond Raley (Nadine), Elizabethtown, KY; and nieces and nephews, Carol Dunmire, Chula Vista, CA, Terry Raley, Newburgh, Dianne Martin, Evansville and Paul Kramer, Cincinnati. Visitation will be Monday, November 27, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until Noon CST at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. A graveside service will immediately follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donna Fenn Literacy Fund.
