Janet Rearden

Tell City, Indiana Janet A. Rearden, 73, passed away Wednesday December 29, 2004 at her home. Janet was born April 26, 1931 in Leopold, Indiana the daughter of the late Roosevelt and Pearl (Schellenberg) Sprinkle. Also preceding her in death was a brother Cletus Sprinkle. She was a graduate of The Academy of the Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand and Lockyear Business College in Evansville. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City. An employee of Peoples Building and Loan, retiring in 1992 after forty years, she was a loyal supporter of the Republican Party, attending Richard Nixon's inauguration in January 1969. She enjoyed her close friends Debbie Bruggeman, Vanessa Kellems, and Tori Mowery who spent many hours playing her favorite card games. She held dear the ""Leopold Boys"" who helped her mother during the last years of operating Sprinkle's General Store in Leopold, property she recently donated to St. Augustine Church. Survivors include three cousins, Bob & Paul Schellenberg and Peggy Harpenau, and her lifelong friends and family, Pat and John Lambert, her namesake, Janet Dauby and her husband Neil and their children Courtney and Hunter, her godchild, Paige Werner and her husband Ryan and their daughter, Olivia. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM EST Saturday January 1, 2005 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Carl Deitchman OSB and Rev. Sean Hoppe OSB will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Friday and from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM Saturday at Huber Funeral Home-Tell City Chapel where there will be a prayer service at 6:30 PM Friday.
