James Piatt

Cannelton, Indiana James A. Piatt, 87, passed away on January 20, 2023 at Owensboro Regional Health Hospital. He was born in Ferndale, Michigan on September 7, 1935 to Fred and Ruby (Tuttle) Piatt. James was a United States Navy veteran and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tell City. He worked as an engineer in the automotive industry. Surviving are his children, Mary Piatt of Hawesville, KY and George Piatt of Tell City; a sister, Virginia Conrad and a brother, Frank Piatt. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Frances (Payne) Piatt, a sister, Rosemary Piatt and brothers, Glenn and Austin Piatt. Services will be private. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City is assisting the family. Huber Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Piatt.
