James Morgan

Tell City, Indiana - James M. "Jim" Morgan, 73, passed away on December 22, 2012, at Oakwood Health Campus. He was born in Wendover, Kentucky, on May 16, 1939. His parents were the late Cecil and Verna (Shell) Morgan. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Hobart Morgan. Jim married Mary Washburn on April 18, 1960 in Virginia. He retired after twenty years in the U.S. Navy. Jim was the owner and operator of Morgan's Trucking, later retiring and working part-time delivering cars for A & G Motors. Jim enjoyed golfing, fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Surviving him are his wife, Mary Rose; sons, Allen Morgan (Lorraine), Tell City, Jay Morgan (Lori), St. Cloud, Florida; daughters, Mary Deimen (Michael) Jasper and Sharon James (Darin), Tell City; sister, Lois Morgan, Wendover, Kentucky; brothers, J.G. Morgan (Juanetta), Wendover, Kentucky and Kennith Allen Morgan (Pearl Ann), Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Healther Morgan, Holly Morgan, Austin Saalman, Delaney Saalman, Casey James and Clay James; great grandchildren, Jayden and Elijah. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday. Rev. Dr. Elmer Shelby will officiate.
