Tell City, Indiana - Jackie L. Kempf, 68, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Evansville, Indiana on June 4, 1947, daughter of the late Ralph C. "Jack" and Georgia Lee (Dickman) Howland. Her teenage brother, Jimmy Howland, also preceded her in death. After graduating from Tell City High School in 1965, Jackie worked at Tell City Chair Company accounting offices. She married David E. Kempf, on August 13, 1971, at St. Paul Catholic Church where she was a member. She enjoyed golfing, shopping and going to the boat. Jackie loved her family, friends and pets and looked forward to her monthly lunches with high school classmates. Jackie was dedicated to the TCHS Class of 1965 and had served as chairperson of many reunions . She never turned down an opportunity to party with her classmates. Jackie loved the art of life and living it through others. Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Dave Kempf; sister, Jeanne Robbins; brothers, Dave Howland (Shelley), Mark Howland (Brenda) and Mike Howland (Joanie); nieces Trish Copeland (Kevin) and Amy Schaefer (Barry); nephew, Brad Robbins (Stacy) and great nieces and nephews, Nick and Isaiah Goffinet, Jaidyn Gogel and Kiana Robbins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at St. Paul Catholic Church, with visitation from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM on Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Rev. Barnabas Gillespie will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Community Foundation for Tell City Alumni, Perry County Animal Shelter or a favorite charity.
