Tell City, Indiana –
Jack L. Mulder, 87, passed away on October 13, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Jack graduated from Colfax High School in Colfax, Indiana and he served in the Indiana National Guard for several years. In Jack’s early years he baled hay and worked on the railroad. In 1966, he went to work at Commercial Filters, where he retired after 29 years. In the early 1980’s, he and his wife, Janet, operated “The Berry Patch” formerly on Highway 237 in Perry County. After retirement, he was a greeter at Wal-Wart.
Jack was an avid fisherman and gardener who enjoyed bird watching.
Surviving is his wife, Janet (Hall) Mulder, Tell City; children, Anita Baker (Everett), Tell City, Melvin Mulder (Vivian), San Antonio, TX, Susan Mulder (Michael Jost), Evansville and Angela Rust (Marc), Tell City; sisters, Verna Freels and Betty Coffman; brother, Frank Mulder; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Altha (Cravens) Mulder and siblings, Jerry Mulder, Joan Mooney, Delores Rose Price and Beverly Kincaid.
Jack’s family would like to thank Heart-to-Heart Hospice for the love and compassion shown to the Mulder family. They also wish to acknowledge Jacks’s caregivers, Kathy Duke, Annette Parker, Velma Mann and Faye Kaufman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CDT on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Paul Alvey will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00-7:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
