Cannelton, Indiana J. David Huber, 80, passed away December 26, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born in Evansville, November 2, 1937, son of the late Ivo and Ruth (Begert) Huber. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Carol (Huber) Coppes. David was a 1955 graduate of Cannelton High School, graduate of Harvard College and Law School, and was a former member of the Board of Trustees at University of Southern Indiana, where he received an honorary degree. A former Perry County Judge, David had been an attorney in Tell City for many years before retiring in 2003. He had served on the Board of Directors at Tell City National Bank for several years. David was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and Hoosier Heights Country Club. He enjoyed sports, especially golf, playing cards and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sarah (Kessler) Huber; son, Michael McGregor (Celeste), Bloomington; grandsons, Geoff McGregor (Lindsay) and Dan McGregor; twin great grandsons, Blake and Evan McGregor; niece, Cathy Johnson and several cousins. As per his wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, will be handling his arrangements. Burial will be in Cliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
