Ivan Bryant

Tell City, Indiana - Ivan Bryant, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. He was born February 18, 1929 in Cannelton, son of the late Archie and Irene (Masterson) Bryant. Also preceding him in death was his wife Billie (Badger) Bryant, and brothers, William Archie "Dink", Vern, and Jim Bryant. A 1948 graduate of Cannelton High School, Ivan was a star route mail carrier and had owned and operated the "Tradin' Post" in St. Croix with his wife, Billie. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting and spending time with his family. Ivan is survived by his daughters; Sue Russell, Derby, Sammie Jo Ubelhor, Tell City; a son, Stacy Bryant, Washington; sister, Helen Beard, Tell City; brothers, Ron Bryant, South Carolina, Don Bryant, Rome, Larry Bryant, Rome, Gary Bryant, Michigan, and Wally "Bud" Bryant, Grandview; grandchildren, Tomee Sue Bunner, Kandy Wright, Wade Russell, Nicholas Ubelhor, Sierra, Lakota, Chloe and Bronson Bryant, and great grandchildren, Megan and Courtney Wright and Melanie Russell. Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Friday, February 1, 2013, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Andy Payton will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 7:00 PM Thursday and from 10:00 until 12:00 PM on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Oakwood Activity Fund.
