Tell City, Indiana Irene B. Theising, 77, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at her home in rural Tell City. Irene was born in Perry County, near Ferdinand on October 31, 1930, daughter of the late John Brockman and Mary Seng Brockman Leinenbach. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cleo J. Theising in 1995, two brothers, Joseph and Linus Brockman, two sisters, Emma Zaring and Hilda Daunhauer. Irene was an employee of General Electric for forty-four years, then after her retirement, she worked in dietary service at Lincoln Hills Nursing Home. She then served as breakfast hostess at the Ramada Inn in Tell City, and was employed as a meter reader for Southern Indiana Rural Electric until she became 75 years of age. Irene enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and spending time with her family. Irene is survived by two daughters, Lesa Lasher and her husband, Denny of Bristow, Indiana Lynn Rogier and her husband, Carl of Leopold, Indiana One son, Wayne Theising, St. Croix, Indiana Four grandchildren, Crystal and Kyle Lasher, Brian Rogier and his wife, Tasha, and Brad Rogier Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 3, 2008 at St. Mark Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Sean Hoppe O.S.B. will officiate. Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 PM Wednesday and 9:00-10:30 AM Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City, Indiana where a parish prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association Hospice.
