Tell City, Indiana Irene M. Solbrig, 93, passed away March 4, 2014 at Golden Living Center Lincoln Hills. She was born in Perry County on August 21, 1920. Her parents were the late Frank and Philomena (Hilgenhold) Luecke. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Charles "Bud" Solbrig; a great granddaughter, Amber Rogier and brothers, Edward, Herman, Charles and Leo Luecke. Irene married Charles L. "Bud" Solbrig on September 4, 1941, at St. Mark's Catholic Church. He passed away in 2003. A member of St. Paul Catholic Church, she retired as food service supervisor from Golden Living Center. She enjoyed quilting. Surviving are her daughter, Norma Jean Rogier (Marvin), Tell City; a son, Charles L. Solbrig, Jr., Marion, Illinois; grandchildren, Greg Rogier, Marty Rogier and Stephanie Solbrig; great grandchildren, Trent and Troy Rogier, Zachary and Abby Rogier, and Anastasia and Kyrina Solbrig. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at St. Paul Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM on Thursday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church.
