Irene Ball

Tell City, Indiana Irene M. Ball, 90, passed away May 11, 2020. She was born in Perry County, Indiana on November 20, 1929 to the late Elsworth and Agnes (Kellems) Harrison. Also preceding her death was her husband, Earl Ball in 1995; her sons, Gary Ball and Ronnie Ball; son in law, John Taylor; sisters, Justine McMahon and Nancy Louise Harrison, in infancy and an infant brother, Elsby Harrison, great granddaughter, Jordan Feemster and grandson, Ralph Feltner. Irene had worked as an aide for 10 years at the former Beverly Healthcare (currently Golden Center- Lincoln Hills) retiring in 1991. She was a member of Tell City Church of Christ and former member of Lilly Dale Church of Christ. She looked forward to attending church and reading her Bible. Irene enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, helping others whenever she could, watching NASCAR, participating in bingo and other activities at the nursing home and she never missed an IU Basketball game. Surviving are her children, Linda Taylor of Boonville and Danny Ball (Robin) of Cannelton; daughters-in-law, Josette Ball and JoAnn Ball, both of Cannelton; brother, Bernard Harrison, Tell City; grandchildren, John Taylor, Jr., Lori Burns, Leah Taylor, Candy Ball Cameron, Belinda Feltner, Phillip Ball, Julie Harris, B.J. Gogel, Amanda Evans, Derek Ball and Jacob Ball; 17 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Due to mandates concerning Covid-19, funeral services will be private. Pastor Billy Lane will officiate with burial in Phelps Cemetery near Derby. Memorial contributions may be made to Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills Resident Activity Fund.
