Inez Fishback

Tell City, Indiana Inez S. Fishback, 91, passed away February 23, 2017 at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born July 28, 1925 in Perry County, daughter of the late Joshua and Goldie (Reed) Sims. Also preceding her in death was her husband Michael Fishback in 1983, brothers, Warren and Merle Sims and sister-in-law Mildred "Billie" Sims. Inez was a 1944 graduate of Cannelton High School. She retired after 40 years from General Electric as account supervisor for Tell City and Owensboro plants. Inez was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensboro, Kentucky and American Legion Auxiliary #213. She enjoyed going to casinos, traveling and taking bus trips. She is survived by a sister, Jacqueline Hachmeister, Huntingburg, Indiana and several nieces and nephews, including her niece and caregiver Linda Stone. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church, with burial in New Cliff Cemetery. Rev. Tony Jones will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday and from 8:30 until 9:30 AM Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
