Tell City, Indiana Imogene Alvey, 94, passed away January 3, 2019 at The Linda E. White Hospice Center in Evansville. She was born in Hawesville, Kentucky on June 29, 1924 to the late Howard and Ada (Adkins) Lamar. Imogene was united in marriage on October 23, 1954 to Floyd Alvey who preceded her in death in 2010. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Gertrude Lamar and brothers, J.C. Lamar and Kenneth Lamar. Imogene was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, needle work and flower gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and great grandchildren. Surviving is her daughter, Brenda Stofft and her husband Dave Reiners, Tell City; granddaughter, Danielle Nord and her husband Nathan, Newburgh; and two great grandchildren, Benjamin and Morgan Nord. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST on Monday, January 7, 2018 at First Baptist Church. Pastors Dan Hopkins and Lee Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 until 5:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 until 10:30 AM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
