Tell City, Indiana Hubert C. "Hube" Kleaving, 82, passed away April 7, 2018 at his home in rural Tell City, surrounded by his family. He was born in Perry County, Indiana on May 22, 1935, son of the late George and Catherine (Bockhold) Kleaving. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Alvena Mosby and brothers, Alva and Cyril Kleaving. Hube was united in marriage at Holy Cross Catholic Church on August 5, 1961 to the former Alice Rohl. A lifelong Perry County farmer, he and his wife owned and operated Hube Kleaving Farms in rural Perry County. Hube was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, National Farmers Organization and served a term on the Anderson Township Fire Department Board of Directors. Hube was an usher for St. Mark Catholic Church and always offered to volunteer at both church's shooting matches. He enjoyed farming and spending time with family and his dog, Macy, bird and rabbit hunting, watching basketball, visiting with friends, sharing stories and jokes. Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Alice Kleaving; children, Diana Hedinger (Charles), Randy Kleaving (Dawn), Darlene Davis (Tim) and Rick Kleaving (Sarah), all of Tell City; ten grandchildren, Jared (Alie) and Clint Hedinger, Blake and Adam Kleaving, Lauren, Emily and Claire Davis, Tyler, Tayton and Tinley Kleaving; great-grandchildren, Brandt and Katherine Hedinger; sister-in-law, Leona Kleaving, Tell City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM CST on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at St. Isidore Catholic Church. Rev Luke Waugh will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mark Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 PM and Wednesday 8:00-9:00 AM at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Isidore Catholic Church, St. Mark Cemetery or Anderson Township Fire Department.
