Howard Traphagen

Howard was born in Cannelton, Indiana on February 19, 1930, son of the late Adolph Traphagen and Elizabeth Henning Traphagen. Howard was a 1948 graduate of Cannelton High School and began his working career in local furniture factories. He was united in marriage in Tell City on February 3, 1952 to the former Mary Alice Lauer. Howard began working at the family-owned Lauer Floral Company and he and Mary Alice owned and operated the business after her parents retired in 1966. They continued in the floral business where a third generation of family became active and continued the business after the Traphagen's retirement in 1992. Other business interests included Traphagen Mobile Home Park and T&R Incorporated. Craig and his wife, Sandy Traphagen, Evanston, Indiana Keith and his wife, Bev Traphagen, Evansville, Indiana
