Homer Sprinkle

Homer was born May 17, 1927 in Perry County son of the late Arnie and Maggie (Thiery) Sprinkle. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1945 through 1947 while serving in Korea in 1946. After returning from service he married Goldie Flamion at St. John Catholic Church at Bristow on October 18, 1947 and bought his grandparents farm where they have resided their whole married life. After working 37 years at General Electric, Homer retired in 1987. Annette Underhill and her husband Danny, Doolittle Mills, Indiana One son: Wayne Sprinkle and his wife Tammy, Tell City, Indiana One sister: Alberta Sims, Tell City, Indiana Five grandchildren: Amy Fentress and her husband Scott, Sarah Rhodes and her husband Donnie, Leanne Sprinkle, Brad Schraner and his wife Robin, Nathan Schraner and his fiance Melissa Beier Four step grandchildren: Steve Underhill and his wife Kristie, Eric Underhill and his wife Erica, Bobby Joe Underhill and his fiance Allison Atkins, and Danielle Underhill Four great granddaughters: Hannah and Kaitlyn Rhodes and Alexia and Riley Schraner Four step great grandchildren: Blarye, Evan, and Emma Underhill and Raigan Atkins Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday November 18, 2006 at St. Isidore Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery with military graveside rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 2939. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Friday and from 8:00 to 9:00 AM Saturday at Huber Funeral Home-Tell City Chapel where there will be a joint Knights of Columbus memorial and parish prayer service at 6:00 PM Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Isidore Catholic Church, American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association.
