Hilda Anderson

Cannelton, Indiana Hilda Jean Anderson, 89, passed away March 10, 2021 at Golden Living Center-Lincoln Hills. She was born in Jasonville, Indiana on January 14, 1932. Hilda was 1950 graduate of Tell City High School. She was united in marriage on June 9, 1951 to Arthur Hargis "Red" Anderson. Hilda was a member of First United Methodist Church, Cannelton. She had worked for General Electric and served as Troy Township Assessor for eight years. Hilda enjoyed playing cards, traveling and visiting casinos. Surviving is her husband, Hargis "Red" Anderson, Cannelton; her children, Brenda Lawalin-Bacey and Mike Anderson (Denise), both of Cannelton; grandchildren, Brian Lawalin (Marion), Nathan Lawalin (Jamie Roark), Matthew Anderson and Michelle Anderson (Tabetha Weaver) and great grandchildren, Cody Lawalin (Sarah), Taylor Lawalin (Ross Fischer), Haylee Lawalin and Emalee Lawalin. Preceding her in death were her parents; father, Clifford Richardson; mother and step father, Dewiebell (Burden) and Stephen Mitchell; sister, Catherine Newton and love child, Jessica Powers Russell. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM CST on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel. Burial will follow in New Cliff Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 - 1:00 PM. A mask is to be worn while visiting the funeral home and social distancing is to be practiced. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Cannelton or Heart to Heart Hospice.
