Tell City, Indiana Herman D. "Bud" Henning, 90, passed away December 31, 2018 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Perry County, Indiana on December 19, 1928 to the late Herman and Pearl (Weedman) Henning. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Rosalie (Amos) Henning in 2014; sisters, Freida Taylor, Catherine Dauby, Violet Peper and Lucille Robbins; and a brother, Emmett Henning. Bud was a United States Army veteran and was retired from General Electric. He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ and enjoyed cutting grass, yard work and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Surviving are his children, Gary Genet, Kennesaw, GA, David Henning (Boyet Stevens), Mason, OH and Rhea Gehlhausen, Tell City; sister, Gladys Garvin, Tell City; brothers, Al Henning (Urma), Tell City and Homer Henning (Sandy), Twin Falls, ID; grandchildren, Logan and Brooks Genet, Elizabeth and Jack Henning, Chad (Elizabeth), Seth and Adam Gehlhausen; one great grandchild, Hank Gehlhausen. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM CST Saturday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, where there will be military graveside rites. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00-7:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00-10:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Evangelical United Church of Christ.
