Cannelton, Indiana –
Henrietta M. Dickman, 96, formerly of Cannelton, passed away in Granger, Indiana, on December 24, 2024.
She was born in Cannelton on February 15, 1928, a daughter of George and Goldie (Kieser) Neyenhaus. Henrietta was a 1946 graduate of Cannelton High School. She and her husband, Earl K. “Jack” Dickman lived in the Shelbyville area and after his death in 1985, Henrietta moved back to Perry County.
While living in Cannelton, she was a member of V.F.W. Post #2939 Auxiliary, William Tell Senior Citizens, OAKS and United Methodist Women (Cannelton FUMC). While living in Shelbyville, she was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #70 and was active with the garden club.
Henrietta enjoyed playing cards and bingo, nature, flowering gardening and visiting with family and friends, especially by writing letters.
She is survived by her son, Richard E. “Dick” Dickman (Gladys); grandchildren, Jason, Camilo, Jennifer and Jon and a sister, Mary “Bobbie” Goffinet.
Preceding her in death were her parents, George and Goldie (Kieser) Neyenhaus; husband, Jack Dickman; sister, Margaret Postin and brothers, Maurice and Ernest Neyenhaus.
Huber Funeral Home is assisting her family with her wishes. There will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church in Cannelton or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
