Tell City, Indiana Betty Cronin, 74, passed away on February 7, 2013 at her home. She was born April 20, 1938 in Tell City, daughter of the late Raymond and Martha (Masterson) Reed. Also preceding her in death were sisters, Cora Reed, Margie Hanks, brother, William B. Reed, son-in-law, Joseph Lane and several grandchildren. Betty was united in marriage September 29, 1953 in Tell City to Carl E. Cronin. A homemaker, she was a member of Tell City First Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family. Betty is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl; daughters, Martha Birchler (Paul), Freetown, Nancy Lane (Raymond), Tell City, Opal Lane, Cannelton, Kay Flamion (Roger), St. Croix, and Mary Shrewsberry (Bob), Owensboro; sons, Curtis Cronin (Debbie), Cannelton, Carl A. "Boo" Cronin, Cannelton, Ricky Cronin (Julie), Tell City and John Cronin (Kathy), Tell City; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Marlin Betts and John Smitson will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Saturday and from 12:00 PM until service time on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Tell City First Church of the Nazarene.
