Hazel Davis

Tell City, Indiana Hazel M. Davis, 89, passed away at 11:27 AM on Thursday, December 24, 2010, at Oakwood Health Campus. She was born in Rome, Indiana, on February 7, 1921. Her parents were the late Joseph and Clara Sandage. Also preceding her in death was a six brothers and four sisters and her husband Clyde William Davis. In 1982, Hazel retired as a motor inspector from General Electric where she worked for over 31 years. She was proud of her former employment at Hoosier Cardinal in Evansville where she was an inspector building P-47's during World War II. Hazel enjoyed being outdoors, vegetable and flower gardening, cooking and cross stitch. She is survived by her children: Janet McKendree, Evansville Clyde Richard Davis, Cannelton William Scott Davis, Evansville Four Grandchildren Nine Great Grandchildren One Great Great Grandchild There will be no visitation or services at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Animal Shelter.
