Harvey Brumfield Jr.

Tell City, Indiana Harvey N. Brumfield Jr., 74, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at his home. Harvey was born November 16, 1933 in Tell City, Indiana son of the late Harvey N. Brumfield Sr. and Susie (Fernow) Brumfield. Also preceding him in death was a son in infancy, Barry Lee Brumfield, a sister, Eiliene Ross Harris, and three brothers, Robert, Clifford, & Christy Brumfield. A United States Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, he married Rose M. Sabelhaus June 28, 1958 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City. Harvey had worked at Maxon Marine in Tell City and retired from Yager Materials in Owensboro, Kentucky. He enjoyed playing euchre, camping, bowling, gardening, and watching Indiana University basketball. He is survived by: His wife of 49 years, Rose (Sabelhaus) Brumfield A daughter: Anita L. Brumfield Owens, Cannelton, Indiana A son: Daniel J. Brumfield, Cannelton, Indiana A sister: Marjorie Brumfield, Lady Lake, Florida A brother, Marion Brumfield, Petersburg, Indiana A granddaughter, Sierra D. Brumfield Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 28, 2008 at Huber Funeral Home, 1139 12th Street, Tell City. Rev. Timothy Sweeney, OSB will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery with military graveside rites by American Legion Post # 213. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday and from 9:00 AM until service time Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society
